"cake " post/contest questions ENTER HERE!

OK.. I thought long and hard and here is what I have decided... there will be another giveaway with 3 winners (randomly chosen by means of the total numbers going into a bag and a number will be drawn by each of my family members...a 2year old, a 7 year old and a hubby. I asked my 3 dogs if they would pick..but they barked back about not having thumbs. (oh well...)

The contest will be open until 12am EST, Thursday, Sept.10th and the format is to answer the following questions:

1) If you were to spend the day with a famous "foodie" who would it be?
2) What is you favorite part of this site? What would you like to see more of?

OK, the second question is to help me develop my other site that is (gasp!) finally coming along!
Good luck to all of y'all....one entry per person please....oooo? The prizes? Well, here is a hint: They are kitchen/food related, and they are VERY useful. (no, they aren't can openers. Although I love my SwingAway.) If you read mamakeith, you know what I mean!

There is SO little "traffic" on ANY of the sites lately, I think that people are still settling into their back to work/school routines. I'm sure it will pick up as fall progresses. I would like to spend the day with Paula Dean, she has such a great sense of humor and seems like such a basic person. As for changes to your web page...I ALWAYS enjoy seeing candid photos of peoples kids or pets.

Well, of all time, it would have to be Julia Child! I watched her on tv when I was young, but it wasn't til she moved to California that I realized - DUH! She lived about 40 minutes away from me. I could have been a stalker! LOL! My second choice would be either Ina Garten or Bobby Flay.

I'm always up for more recipes and photos! :)

I love Ina Garten. She can turn an ordinary turkey sandwich into something sensational! Of all the food shows, I make her stuff the most.

I would love to see a recipe for that puerto rican rice with the pigeon peas. I love that rice but I have no idea how to make it!

OK, I think either Rachel Ray (she seems down-to-earth) or Ree Drummond from the Pioneer Woman. Thanks!

I would have to say Paula Deen! And I love looking at the recipes on this site, so that's what I'd like to see more of! :)

I am a newbie to your site. It is well laid out and you post the most beautiful pictures. I am a visual learner and this helps me know if I'm on the right path with the recipe. I will continue to visit your site to see what you come up with next. Now, back to the second question, if I could hang out with any foodie, hmmm, I think I'd choose to hang with Alton Brown. He is one of my favorites and he's so energetic and excited about food. I love that about him.

Good questions! I would spend the day with Anthony Bourdain. I love his dry sense of humor. I don't think I would be able to eat some of the things he does, though!

I'm new to your blog, so I would have a hard time answering the second question. It looks to me that you don't need to change anything! Your recipes and pictures look good to me!

Hi... I'm not sure if many here remember that fiesty cajun cook from the 1970s, Justin Wilson. He made me laugh. He was on Chanell 11I certainly enjoyed his (seemingly) unscripted cooking show, with his wine-sippin' and generous hand with the tabasco, his folksy philosophy on food and women, and mostly, how he seemed to truly enjoy eating the final product of his labors. I enjoyed watching his belly expand further and further over his belt with each season. I GARONTEE!! You asked what we like about your site and what we would love to see more of. I love your pictures and detailed instructions and recipes and always any tips! This is my personal opinion only and suggestion, I would like to click on each month and then see all the finished recipe picture with the recipe name and then click on the picture and see the instructions and remaining pictures and tips. Perhaps seperate the give aways and to my readers. I don't know? just thinking. TIE (AR)
