cheesy baked hash browns

I usually make a hash brown casserole on Sundays, but I began to grow tired of the original recipe. So, I changed it up a bit. Now, I had no clue how it was going to come out.... so I didn't take the prep pictures. Honestly, I was having a beer and jamming out to Jack Johnson and my daughter was jamming out to Yo Gabba Gabba for...um the 5,295th time. Oooops I probably have heard my Jack Johnson 5,296 times but who's counting?! This can be a morning dish by the way... for me, it's an evening side. (I don't drink beer in the morning, guys!)
How I made it: 1 thawed bag of hash browns
1/2 finely chopped onion
1 egg
1 wooden spoon of mayo
1 wooden spoon of ranch
1/4 c milk
1/2 cup shredded cheese
salt pepper... parsley flakes
Now: combine it all. Spread out on a pan- thin if ya like the crunchier top or thick (smaller pan) if you like it more mushy. I baked it at 350 for.... eek probably an hour. I know I hung laundry and took a shower in the meantime. Forgive me for being so vague! I didn't know it would come out this good!

Yum. If you have cheese and you have potatoes, what more is there? Sounds very good!

What a cute post. First of all...I don't know who Jack Johnson is, but I sure know who yo-gabba-gabba is (my grandkids love it). Then I got a good chuckle out of your measurements (1 wooden spoon of...)
I love it. This sounds like a great side dish, thanks for sharing.
